The Charge Ups captivate audiences with infectious songs, a swaggy wardrobe, a hyper-energy live show, fun choreography, and ingenious mashups. The band “effortlessly meshes metal riffs with pop-punk choruses” to electrify rock fans of any persuasion.

Originally formed in Pittsburgh, PA as “Chip & The Charge Ups” in 2018 by the unique family team of Chip Dominick & then 16-year old Maleena Dominick, the band later added powerhouse drummer, Nolan Allen, to round out their thunderous sound. Chip & The Charge Ups released four albums and has been voted “Best Rock Band” once, “Best Punk Band” twice, and “Best Alternative Band” four times in the Iron City Rocks Pittsburgh Music Awards.

The Charge Ups are making 2026 their most ambitious year to date. First, by tweaking their name. Second, by sharing lead vocal duties somewhat equally between members of the trio. And, third, by outdoing KISS with a simultaneous four album release. These albums include a solo album from each member plus the crown jewel of the collection, “King for a Day” – the first album the band is releasing under the modified name, The Charge Ups. The Charge Ups are determined and poised to stand out as royalty among their pop-punk peers.
